Measured by square feet, the Southern California industrial market would be the fourth largest global market, lagging in size only to the entire countries of the U.S.A., China and Japan. Within the United States, the SoCal industrial property market represents about the same economic value as the next four to five largest U.S. markets combined. More specifically, we focus on SoCal high-barrier submarkets located in and among our massive, growing population centers - we call these “infill” markets.

Executive Vice President, Development and Construction
Mr. Serra brings over 20 years of executive leadership and international real estate experience to Rexford. He has lived and worked in four countries and is frequently cited in numerous publications, including Bloomberg, WSJ, and LABJ. Prior to Rexford, Mr. Serra was the head of JLL’s Project & Development Services ("PDS") business unit in the US southwest region, co-leading the west region. He was on the JLL executive board for PDS Americas which oversee the 4,000 person construction project management staff. In addition to his primary role, he was also the west region lead for Spaulding & Slye Investments ("SSI"), the real estate investment operating division of JLL. Mr. Serra received his Bachelor’s in Quantity Surveying at Northumbria University. Mr. Serra leads the design, construction and development teams on both ground-up and repositioning projects, across Southern California.
