
Howard Schwimmer is a co-founder and Senior Managing Partner of Rexford Industrial, and also directs the company’s property acquisition efforts. Mr. Schwimmer has exclusively focused on Southern California industrial real estate for more than 26 years and has extensive expertise in the areas of property acquisition, development, value-add repositioning, management, sales and leasing. Mr. Schwimmer has demonstrated a successful track record of acquiring, repositioning, developing, leasing, selling and adding value to more than 24 million square feet of industrial properties. For 19 years prior to co-founding Rexford, Mr. Schwimmer was a shareholder, board member, executive vice president and broker of record for a prominent Southern California real estate brokerage company. A licensed California real estate broker, Mr. Schwimmer received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California where he majored in business with an emphasis in real estate finance and development.

Michael Frankel is the Managing Partner of Rexford Industrial. Mr. Frankel is responsible for Rexford’s corporate strategy, equity financing activities, debt structuring and management of the company. Mr. Frankel is a licensed California real estate broker and has been active in private equity investments, merger and acquisition advisory, and senior management operating roles throughout his 25-year career. Mr. Frankel was previously responsible for investments in the private equity division of Comcast Corporation. He also served as a senior advisor with LEK Consulting, providing strategic advisory services to several of the world's leading investment institutions. Mr. Frankel began his career as Vice President at Melchers & Co., a European-based firm, where he was responsible for Melchers’ U.S.-Asia operations. Mr. Frankel brings significant private equity, finance and management experience to Rexford. Mr. Frankel has substantial experience working in China, Southeast Asia and France, and speaks Mandarin and French. Mr. Frankel earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Economy from the University of California at Berkeley and his MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Ziman is the Founding Chairman of Rexford Industrial. Mr. Ziman also serves as Chairman of AVP Advisors, LLC, the exclusive advisor to American Value Partners, a real estate fund of funds deploying capital on behalf of pension funds, covering all sectors of real estate investment throughout the United States. Previously, Mr. Ziman was the founding Chairman and CEO of Arden Realty, Inc. and served as the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Arden (as well as of Arden’s predecessor company, Arden Realty Group, Inc.) until the sale of Arden in early 2006 to General Electric Co. in a $5 billion transaction involving Arden’s portfolio of 20 million square feet in more than 200 office buildings. Arden was publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “ARI” and specialized in development, ownership, operation and management of office properties in Southern California. Prior to establishing Arden Realty, Mr. Ziman formed Pacific Financial Group in 1979, a diversified real estate investment and development firm, of which he was Managing General Partner. Mr. Ziman received his Bachelor’s Degree and his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Southern California and practiced law as a partner of the law firm Loeb & Loeb from 1971 to 1980, specializing in all transactional and financial aspects of real estate.

Mr. Coleman is a Co-Founder of Rexford Industrial. Mr. Coleman was also the co-founder of Arden Realty, and served as President, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Arden from its inception in 1996 until its sale in 2006. Mr. Coleman was also President, Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Arden’s predecessor company, Arden Realty Group, Inc., a Maryland corporation, from 1990 to 1996. Previously, from 1987 to 1989, Mr. Coleman was Vice President of Los Angeles Realty Services, Inc. Mr. Coleman received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California at Berkley and received his MBA from Golden Gate University.
